Behind the Scenes: Crescent Cove
Crescent Cove is a personal programming project that I do in my free time. I had started the project multiple times towards the end of high school and in university, and have been working on it seriously (and in its current iteration) for over a year now. I think this project also shows a lot more of my skill in web development than a static site like this one. You can create accounts, sign in, get items and pets, visit dynamic shop and quest pages, post on a forum, and more!
If you're not very familiar with web development, that may not seem like much, but I've spent hundreds of hours on it. Additionally, I've spent quite a bit of money as well to host the site and its database. Well worth it, however! I'm really proud of it, and I think it showcases my skills in front-end and back-end development. I'm actually working on a new visual design for parts of the site currently, since certain parts (namely the header and older pages) are a bit more aged visually. I'd love to update the navigation bar in particular, since it's clearly a little older than the rest of the site.
As with this site, Crescent Cove is completely built from scratch, by me. If you'd like to take a peek feel free to do so! You can even create an account if you'd like and explore the site a little bit. It's not nearly finished, but it's still something I'm really proud of. I'd eventually like to launch it publicly one day, but I'm not sure when that'll happen yet.
